Isco

FBL-ESP-LIGA-MALAGA-VALLADOLID

As the Football season is drawing to a close, many of the major clubs are looking to snap up want away players from there clubs. As managers will be looking to mold there team within pre season. With Man City having sacked Roberto Mancini after a trophyless season, City have cast there eye on Manuel Pellegrini of Malaga who is just days away from signing for City as there new manager, Pellegrini has also stated that when he signs for City he wants to take young Malaga star Isco with him to help him try and clinch the trophy back from there bitter rivals Manchester United.

What do we know about Isco?

Isco is 21 years old he is 5ft 9 inches can play in a variety of roles within the midfield much like David Silva at Man City who looks to add support to the centre forward as much as possible. Isco began his career playing for Valencia B side where he made 52 appearances, scoring a total of 16 goals, pretty good record at such a young age. Where he was then promoted to Valencia’s senior squad, only making 4 appearances. With Valencia once again a bit cash strapped they looked to off load the youngster to another team, where Malaga triggered a 6 million buy out clause and Isco signed a 5 year deal with the club.

Isco has also represented his country at every level, something in which the English should look to do with most of there players if they are going to develop promising players in the future. Isco has played for Spain’s U16 right through to the senior squad where he made a full international cap in 2013. He has played 88 times for his country scoring 19 goals. With many teams looking to acquire his services, Malaga increased his buy out clause to 35 million in order to gain a greater fee for the player.

With comparisons to David Silva at Man City and his former in Manuel Pellegrini looking to take over at the blue side of Manchester you can’t help but feel that we will be seeing him in a sky blue shirt next year.

How similar is he to David Siva ?

This is David Silva’s Final 3rd Passing stats (via Four Four Two App) showing how although Silva is predominantly left footed he does like to support both the Centre Forward and Wingers in receiving the ball and looking to create something.

Silva Utd Passes

Much like Isco who played a key role in that dashboard shown below scoring for Malaga against Real Betis , both dashboard showing how they are quite similar in there styles of play.
